"Expert guidance."

“Katie genuinely took the time to understand what I wanted to achieve and guided me on how to achieve this. Everything turned out better than I hoped. It was visually beautiful and Katie really helped me nail the content. I love the way she took what I was trying to say and made it clearer for my audience and how it worked alongside everything on the website”.

– Nicola Edjourian, Abstract Events

"Renewed confidence in my business."

“I think Katie is a magic combination of being able to provide creative design and functionality – she is great at guiding a totally non-website-understanding human like me through the process and also really helped me understand why to do things in the way we did.”

– Claire owen, Claire owen cAKES

"A very thorough process."

“The process of working with Katie was fabulous. From the get go she was on hand with any questions I had, which were very few because she was so thorough. She led me through the process in such a seamless way, giving me just enough information for the stage I was in, that the whole thing felt so easy and not overwhelming at all.”

– NIVA GUNASGEGARAN, LEARN ENGLISH WITH NIVA

"Katie went above and beyond!"

“So many things stood out about working with Katie. I didn’t know where to start, so to have someone come to me with ideas and suggestions, and to help research different products was invaluable. Katie was always really pro-active in helping me push the project over the line and encouraging me out of my comfort zone to have pictures taken, which really enhanced the end result.

Working with Katie exceeded my expectations in every way! She made the process fun and went above and beyond at each stage to ensure I was happy with everything.”

The Website Design Process

The Website Design Process

01. Getting started

Every project kicks off, of course, once you’ve filled out the enquiry form. Once you’ve sent it over, I’ll review it and if I think we are a good fit and I can help you with your project, I’ll get in touch and arrange a time for us to chat.

Once we’ve had our call, I’ll send you over a custom proposal for your project including details like scope, timelines and payment plans

02. Getting ready

Once you’re happy to go ahead with the project and your contact has been signed and your deposit paid (excited!) I’ll invite you to my project management tool- Asana which is where we will chat, plan out the project and keep on track.

I’ll also send over your project questionnaires to get going on and we’ll book in for your strategy session. At this stage I’ll also ask you to send me over your brand assets if you have them, your website copy and images so we can get started. And if you don’t already have these, pop over to the FAQs where I’ll tell you how I can help.

03. The design & build

Next I’ll get to work on your project. Working with me on your website is a collaborative process so I’ll need you on hand to give me feedback throughout. This is the fun part though and you’ll see your website come to life. I’ll create a fully functioning protype on which I’ll get your feedback suggestions and edits before I launch into building the complete working website you’ve been waiting for.

04. The Celebration!

It’s time to pour yourself a well-deserved drink!

Once your website is built and your final deposit is paid, it’ll be time to launch and share with the world.

At this point I will have finished creating your website, but this is just the beginning. I’ll be on hand with 4 weeks of support post project plus I’ll supply you with video guides and all the advice of keeping your site up to date, adding content and keeping it ship shape. And if you sign up to one of my website maintenance plans, you’ll have me in your corner month to month to do all that for you. Cheers!

Not ready for the full branding design experience just yet?

I get it. Investing in your branding can feel like a lot. You might not be ready yet, feel like you need to do more research, or simply learn more about what the process of working with a branding and website designer involves. I’ve got you covered.

I’ve got a ton of advice and tricks up my sleeve to help businesses like yours. You can find answers to a load of questions about branding and websites over on the weekly blog. Or sign up to the list and you’ll get them directly to your inbox every week.

Want to know more about the finer details?

You’ve got questions and I have answers! Knowing what you need to know before you go ahead can feel overwhelming. We want to make the process as smooth and easy for you as possible if you choose us to work with you on your project.

We get asked many a question, but here I’ve put together some of my top FAQs so you can learn more about the process, peel back the curtain on how I work and see what is needed from you too. If your question isn’t covered here or you want to ask me anything, big or small, please just ask!

Can you just design me a quick logo?

To be absolutely honest, no. There is a really good reason for this and it’s actually to help your business, not to try and be difficult or to try and make more money from you. This is where you really need to think about the bigger picture of your business and your brand.

Your brand is about so much more than just the visual stuff and your logo. Your brand is all about the experience you deliver and everything you do in your business, so a logo alone isn’t going to cut it. What’s more, you’ll need to be present across so many different online touch points, some of which will require much more than just a logo. Think about your Instagram feed for example. This needs to visually represent your brand, but you can’t be simply posting images of your logo every day. That’s why your brand will need to include a colour palette, a look and feel, a style of photography, a mood, a voice, and probably feature images of you and your team if you have one, to add a face to your brand.

You can read more about the reasons why a logo alone won’t be enough to attract your dream clients in this blog post.

Can you create custom brand packages?

Absolutely. I encourage you to go for a more bespoke brand package and on our discovery call, we will go through exactly what requirements you and your business have in terms of branding because every single business is different and what will work for one may not serve another.

We’ll look at things like whether you’re an online business, in which case you might not have a need for business cards, but an email signature would be important, or if you meet a lot of potential clients face to face, then physical printed branding material will be necessary. Maybe you’re a food business and need packaging, or a product based business that needs branded stickers for your shipping boxes, it’s all possible and can be completely tailored to your needs.

How much will my branding cost?

If you pick one of my packages, this should act as a good benchmark on which to base the expected cost of your branding. If you do need package additions or anything extra, these will of course add to the price. Just get in touch if you have a more custom idea that will need custom pricing to match.

Can you help me with my website design too?

This is music to my ears! I love providing clients with the complete branding and website package and I’ll be happy to help you on this. You can find out more about the website design services I offer here.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, of course. I will always take a 50% payment on booking in your project and then the balance 50% payment on completion of the project, but if your need to break down payments further into more manageable payments, then just ask. My aim is to make paying for your project as simple and achievable as possible as I know it’s an investment that’s 100% worth it.

How will you deliver my branding?

Once we have finalised all the elements of your branding project and the final payment has been made, I will send all your documents over to your Google Drive where you can use them as you need to and continue to store them.

How can I use my branding?

It’s completely up to you how you’d like to use your branding and whether you’d like me to help you further with this. I will supply you with all the branding files you need to continue using your branding across all the platforms you’ll need to use. I can help you by further creating layouts for specific touch points online including social media and email marketing and I can create additional printed items for your business. I also offer social media templates that will help keep your business on brand across all the platforms you use online. I’ll set you up on Canva empowering you or one of your team to use these templates and to create anything you need whilst keeping it all on brand.

How will we keep track of the project?

I use Asana and absolutely swear by it. Asana is a project management tool that helps me keep in constant contact with my clients throughout the process of working with them. Working with my clients is a collaborative process and Asana is a great platform to set up and manage tasks. You can also message within Asana meaning no emails getting lost or information getting confused along the way.

When can we get started on my branding project?

My availability to start new projects varies depending the number of current clients I have, but I typically book 1-3 months in advance. please bear in mind that most projects take 1-3 months to complete depending on their complexity, but also depending on your availability to have feedback calls and complete the tasks necessary for you for the project too.

How can I book you for my branding project?

Get in touch and we can then book in for a discovery call to chat through your ideas, your goals and what your business really needs. I will create a bespoke proposal and once you are happy, contracts are signed and  the initial payment is made I am then all yours to get started on your branding project.

Why is branding so "expensive"?

Well, I suppose this depends on what you would see as expensive. It might be about your priorities. We work with ambitious businesses who want to get online, get seen and grow. This will mean that they may not have the time or the expertise to design and build a brand that coverts for their business and their time is better spent on growing their business and the things they actually love doing. A question right back at you… Which do you value more, your time or your money? If it’s your time, then we’d say you’re more likely to be happy to invest in a website designer to build a site using their expereince, expertise and knowledge. If you value your money more, then that’s where the option of DIYing your site is most likely the best option for you.

I offer bespoke payment plan options to make investing in your website much more manageable and accessible.
